Scallion and Cheddar Drop Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Flake
  • Step 3
  • 6 tbsp Cold Butter- Cubed
  • Step 4
  • 1/4 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 tsp White Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
  • Step 5
  • 1/3 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Diced Green Onion
  • Step 8
  • 2 tbsp Butter- Melted

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375F
  2. Add all drys to a bowl and mix.
  3. Add cubed butter and massage in until butter is pea sized. This can be made easier with a large food processor.
  4. Mix together all wet ingredients, then add to drys and mix thoroughly (try not to break up the butter pieces).
  5. Fold in cheddar and green onion.
  6. Use large cookie scoop or two spoons to scoop batter onto baking sheet.
  7. Brush tops with melted butter
  8. Bake for approx. 25 min or golden brown.
