  • 1/4-1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup wheat starch
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour (AKA sweet rice flour)
  • 1 tablespoon lard (or butter)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • oil (for brushing)
  • 1 1/3 cups red bean paste
