Oven Baked Mac'n'Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded shard cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package directions
  2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly, 3-5 minutes or until thickened.
  3. Stir in Cheddar, salt, and pepper until smooth; add pasta.
  4. Melt 1 tbsp butter in microwave at HIGH 30 seconds. Combine melted putter, Panko breadcrumbs, and Parmesan.
  5. Pour pasta mixture into a greased baking dish; top with Panko mixture.
  6. Bake 30-35 minutes or until top is golden.
