Rinse 8 oz. dried green split peas, put in pressure cooker, add 1 lb. water and bring to boil, turn to medium heat and steam for 30 minutes, then cool down, mashed.
Put mashed green peas into a non-stick pot, add butter and sugar, use low heat to evaporate the excessive water, stir constantly until the green pea paste becomes thick, this process takes time and needs patience.
Move the green pea paste into a bowl and let it cool.
I have a 50g mold. So I divide the green pea paste into 1.5 oz balls, put each ball into the mold and press to make the cake.
Once all finished, you can enjoy the yummy green pea cake.
