Dutch Oven Roast

Ingredients

  • Roast
  • Olive oil or butter
  • 1 medium onion
  • bag of baby carrots
  • garlic
  • beef or chicken broth
  • thyme
  • rosemary
  • bay leaves
  • meat tenderizer
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • potatoes
  • while green beans

Steps

  1. Sear the roast: season roast with meat tenderizer, salt, pepper, garlic or garlic salt to taste. Then brown in skillet with olive oil or butter until brown on all sides.
  2. Put roast, broth (at least half way up the roast or fully covering roast), onion, carrots, garlic, green beans, and other seasonings into Dutch oven.
  3. Bake in oven for 2 hours on 275°F
  4. Add peeled and diced potatoes
  5. Finish baking for 45 mins-1 hour or until potatoes are soft and roast is falling apart
  6. Serve and enjoy!
