Deviled Eggs

The ideal egg-based snack. Beware this appetizer, lest it become the main course

Ingredients

  • 6 Eggs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Black Pepper
  • Mustard

Steps

  1. Add eggs to a saucepan and cover in cold water
  2. Heat water on high until it comes to a boil. Cover and let sit for 8 minutes
  3. Drain saucepan and chill eggs in ice water for a couple of minutes
  4. Shell eggs and slice longwise into halves
  5. Carefully remove yolks from the halves and add to a mixing bowl
  6. Combine yolks with an equal volume of mayonnaise and mix
  7. Add mustard until mixture resembles the original hue of the yolks prior to the addition of mayonnaise. Add a dash of black pepper and mix thoroughly
  8. Scoop yolk mixture from mixing bowl and distribute equally back into egg halves
  9. Add a sprinkle of smoked paprika to each egg
  10. Plate and enjoy
