Cajun Shrimp (and Sausage)

Why go to an overpriced cajun seafood in a plastic bag restaurant when you can make something better at home in 15 minutes and not have to go through the trouble of shelling it yourself? I have no idea

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Shelled Uncooked Shrimp
  • 2 Andouille Sausages
  • 1 Lemon
  • 5 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Old Bay
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Salt

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in medium frying pan before adding uncooked shrimp
  2. Cook for one minute on medium heat until shrimp turn pink, then flip and cook for one more minute
  3. Remove shrimp to a plate and pour out most of the juice, saving about a teaspoon
  4. Add butter and five spices to frying pan and mix into slurry
  5. Slice sausages and add to the pan. Add back shrimp
  6. Mix and coat shrimp and sausages in slurry
  7. Juice lemon and pour over shrimp and sausages. Cook for one more minute
  8. Serve and enjoy
