Apple Fritter Bread

Ingredients

  • Brown sugar/Cinnamon Mix
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Apple Mix
  • 2 large red apples, chopped small
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Bread
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons of milk depending on desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Mix 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Chop 2 apples and toss in sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. Whisk together flour and baking powder in a bowl. Set aside.
  5. In another bowl, beat sugar and butter until creamy.
  6. Add eggs and vanilla extract then beat well.
  7. Gradually mix in flour mixture.
  8. Mix in milk.
  9. Spray a 9x5-inch loaf pan with non-stick baking spray.
  10. Pour half the bread batter into the loaf pan and spread out.
  11. Top with half the chopped apple mix.
  12. Sprinkle 1/2 of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture on top.
  13. Repeat layers.
  14. Use a knife and swirl through the mixture a few times.
  15. Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center come out clean. Enjoy!
